Miley Cyrus' style transformation and our favorite looks
This pop star has been in the spotlight for most of her life. As a child actor, she was cast in the eponymous role on Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" at just 11 years old. At the time, she was known to rock cowboy boots and colourful leggings, or glittery dresses and a blonde wig on stage as her alter-ego. But in the years since, the 26-year-old star has gone through numerous transformations and has been known for pushing the fashion envelope. The Young and Restless
By now it’s safe to say that Miley Cyrus is a fashion chameleon. She's gone from Disney Princess to LA teen icon, a crop-top wearing minx with a penchant for studs and leather (and a wrecking ball) to today’s "Malibu" boho babe. Seen here is now-dated Miley who was still trying to figure out her post-Disney life and style. She put on a pair of girl-next-door boots with a relatively run-of-the-mill shirt. The only thing that kept this look afloat was her stark black aviator sunglasses - which we think was a great decision in the making! Definitely a memorable look, if not our favourite one.
Some Basic B*tch
After bleaching her hair blonde in 2006, the star seemed determined to exude a very feminine and innocent vibe. With her hair in a ponytail and a plain white t-shirt it’s evident that the fashion bug had not hit the singer yet. She seemed content to look like a basic b*tch, something we’ve all been through. Noticeably, her oversized black-sunglasses stood out in this simple yet chic look. Brownie points for trying, Cyrus!
Bye-bye Teenage!
Taking the glam head-on with lush red lips, this former teen sensation has finally navigated into the uncharted waters of adulthood. The Wrecking Ball singer can now be seen commanding her own personal sense of style and leaving behind the teenage goody-two-shoes Miley. Though we think she really rocked this black bustier and high-waisted denim look, it was her round black sunglasses that really stole the show. Accessorizing skills on point, Miley.
The American Dream
Miley smiles in a t-shirt which is not cropped (finally) and she looks great doing so. Her hair has been chopped off, and evokes a rockstar-grunge vibe which continues on to embody her offscreen persona. The sweet and innocent Miley style we once knew can scarcely be seen in the new person she’s vowed to become! What we totally loved about this look were the sparkly silver stilettos (duh) and the glaring reflector sunglasses she put on with her ultra-cool ensemble! Girl, you definitely got style.
Good girl gone bad
If you’ve been following the Mile-ster over the past few years, then you know that some major sh*t has gone down. The woman has practically changed everything…. her hair, style, personality, dating preferences.... Not that we’re judging by any means - we’re all for evolution and style transformations, especially when it comes to oversized Sunglasses! Rocking a pair of oversized uber-cool black shades, Miley serves up a true rockstar-vibe in her gold necklaces and chunky bracelets.
